Role Overview
As a Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for enabling new areas of business growth through product solutions and strategic pricing policy. You will identify opportunities through deep dive analysis, independently define and own key business success metrics, align stakeholders, and be responsible for implementing, launching, and measuring the impact of those solutions.
Successful applicants must possess strong analytical skills to derive insights that drive action plans and roadmaps. You demonstrate outstanding communication and influence with peers in other departments and with top executives, even if this involves difficult conversations where team members must disagree and commit. You must be comfortable engaging equally with technical software development, data science, data analyst and business stakeholder teams with a mind towards programmatic improvement while grounded in our mission to protect customer trust in prices on our platform.
What You Will Do
- Identify customer-facing problems and gather product requirements from business stakeholders and market research teams.
- Set challenging program goals that ultimately benefit our customers.
- Align with executives, operations, and stakeholder teams on executional timelines for making strategic progress.
- Oversee product roadmaps and assign priorities based on strategic alignment, maximum business impact, and ROI.
- Manage all steps of the product lifecycle, including use case and problem statement definition, success and guardrail metrics, solution discovery, strategic development, launch, and impact analysis.
- Train up-and-coming product managers by aligning their professional interests with the team’s overall program goals and strategies. Assist and guide them in carrying out crucial tasks or resolving blockers that arise during the product development lifecycle.
- Establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely product features to continuously improve and achieve program goals.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a senior role within a business or in a product management, pricing, or strategic consulting role.
- Leadership experience with a history of successfully launching and sustaining products and programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others without authority and collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Deep-dive analytical skills that can take ambiguous problems and translate them into insights, scoped features, and projects
- Demonstrated ability to understand technical challenges and make educated trade-offs between time, resources, and business needs
- Track record of mentoring and developing more junior team members into future company leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Business, engineering, statistics) or equivalent experience
- Startup experience with the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and changing priorities is highly valued
- Previous e-commerce or pricing domain experience
- Experience working in international environments and globally distributed teams
- Fluency in both English and Korean preferred, but not required.
